I flew into Switzerland and spent one jetlaggy day in Geneva before catching the train to Adelboden. I stowed my luggage in a locker at the airport for a couple francs, then hopped on the bus and tried to find my way around as quickly as possible. I had made grand plans to see the Palais des Nations (AKA United Nations Office) and the Patek Philippe Museum, but I ended up just wandering around Lake Geneva and falling asleep in a park.
Still, my few hours of exploration brought me to a few Geneva highlights. I got off the bus when I got to the middle of the city and walked towards Lake Geneva. I came across l’horloge fleurie, a huge clock made of flowers in the jardin anglais.

I walked around the garden and admired the bridges I could see across the water. From here I could also see the incredible jet d’eau, a massive fountain in Lake Geneva. I couldn’t believe how clear and blue the water was!

I was too tired to go much farther, so I found a cozy spot in a park under a tree to relax and enjoy the view, then I promptly fell asleep.

Even in my very short time in Geneva, I was so impressed with how beautiful and clean the city was. Can’t wait to go back for a longer trip!
